Setting the Printer's TCP/IP Address and Name

NOTE: This procedure must be performed at the 3-D printer.

To change the address:

Press the MENU button on the InVision 3-D printer, and use the up and down arrow buttons to select the Network Setup menu option, then the IP Address option. Press the YES button to select options.

When the system displays the IP address and a flashing cursor, use the PAUSE and CONTINUE buttons to move the cursor from one section of the address to another, and use the up and down arrow buttons to change the value of a section.

NOTE: You can select the printer's TCP/IP address. However, the printer chooses a network name of the form Invision-xxx based on the TCP/IP address you choose, where xxx is a digital number based on the last eight bits of the TCP/IP address.

Windows Domains

If you change the name of a computer that is attached to a Windows domain, the next time the user logs off the domain, the domain will not recognize the computer. You have to remove the computer from the domain while the computer is not attached to the domain and re-install the computer under the proper name.
