Updating Printer Control Software

You can update the machine control software in your 3-D printer from your client workstation. You should only perform an upgrade if you receive updated software from 3D Systems.

Before you begin, the 3-D printer must be offline.

Open the printer's Info window for the printer you want to update (see Displaying a Printer's Info Window), and select Printer, Upgrade. A dialog box appears:

 

Select an appropriate upgrade file (the highest available number for an InVision printer system) and click the Upgrade button.

To monitor the process, display the printer's LCD panel (see Displaying the Printer's LCD Panel).

When the printer displays the message "PLATFORM CLEAR? Y/N," go the printer and press the YES button.

To verify that the upgrade was successful, return to your client workstation and again select Printer, Upgrade. Verify that the Current Printer Version matches the version you installed.
