Automatic Part Placement
The Preview window includes two tools for automatically arranging parts. Use either one to automatically rearrange all of the parts in your print job.
- Part Placement: This tool arranges parts for optimal build speed by moving the parts in the X and Y axes and rotating them around the Z axis, if needed. Since it does not rotate parts around the X or Y axes, the original upward-facing surface remains.
- Quick Build Placement: (STL only) This tool will rotate parts in all axes to achieve the smallest possible Z height, as well as moving them in the X and Y planes. It may change from the original upward-facing surface.
To use either tool, click its button on the tools toolbar or select its option from the Tools menu.
