Use the Light Properties dialog box to adjust the location and intensity of the virtual light source used by the Preview window to display parts. Your changes affect only the appearance of the parts in the window, not how they are built. To display the Light Properties dialog box, select View, Light Properties.

You can change Intensity in the range from 1 to 0.1. Position in X, Y, and Z can range from 100 to -100, measured from the coordinate origin at the center bottom of the build envelope (that is, the center of the build platform.
