Manually Installing the SolidWorks Add-In

NOTE: Manual Add-In installation is only required if you installed SolidWorks after you installed the InVision Client.

After you install SolidWorks, you can manually install the SolidWorks INVISION_PRINTER Add-In by simply reinstalling the InVision Client.

If reinstalling the InVision Client is not an option, you can also manually install the Add-In as follows:

  1. Run SolidWorks.
  2. Set SolidWorks to Part View or Assembly View. (You cannot install the INVISION_PRINTER Add-In if SolidWorks is in Drawing View.)
  3. Drag and drop the file ..\InVisionClient\Bin\INVISION_PRINTER.dll onto the SolidWorks menu bar.

Switching Off the Add-In

The SolidWorks INVISION_PRINTER Add-In is on by default after installation. To switch it off, do the following:

  1. On the SolidWorks Tools menu, click Add-Ins.
  2. Uncheck INVISION_PRINTER.
