Oversize Parts
If you attempt to add an STL or SLC file to a print job, and the file appears to be too large to fit into the build area, the system displays the message Error: Oversize Parts.
This is not necessarily an error. Since STL and SLC files do not contain units information, the system must guess at the appropriate units.
The system first asks you whether you want to convert the part from inches to millimeters or vice versa. If you choose not to convert units, the system then offers to scale the part down to fit in the build area; for example:
![]()
If you choose No, the system will allow you to add the part to the print job. However, you must change the print job to make the STL or SLC files fit into the build area before you can submit the job.
NOTE: The InVision HR printer's (X, Y, Z) build volume dimensions are (6 X 7 X 2) inches; (152 X 178 X 51) millimeters.

NOTE: The maximum build area (X * Y extents) for an InVision HR printer is 10 square inches (6452 square millimeters). If you attempt to add an STL or SLC file with X * Y extents greater than this maximum, the InVision Client scales the part to fit automatically.
