Introduction

These instructions will guide you through the driver installation to the SmartPad. The basic guidelines are written below and dedicated instructions found from links on the left pane.

NOTE! SmartPad PC has no assembled CD-ROM drive. Use external USB CD-ROM to installation tasks. Alternative way is copying programs from the installation CD to the memory stick and uses it as a installation medium.

Driver reinstallation

Normally each of needed drivers is already installed by factory and no needs for reinstallation exist. If any reason comes up that requires reinstallation of the driver then follow the reinstallation guideline written below.

1. Always uninstall the exist driver

2. Reinstall new driver

3. Re-boot the SmartPad PC

4. Update next driver if necessary by following steps through 1 to 3

Driver installation to fresh hard drive

If the SmartPad PC is delivered without preinstalled Windows® XP professional operating system or the Windows® XP professional is reinstalled reason or other then follow the installation guidelines below:

1. Install Windows® XP professional

2. Install drivers in following order (reboot system after each driver installation)

· CPU temperature control service program

· PCI-driver

· NIC-driver

· Video-driver

· Audio-driver
