Audio driver

Location of the Audio driver installer:

- x:\Drivers\Audio_driver\A376_WinAll (The letter ‘x’ means the drive letter of the CD-rom).

Installation

Follow instructions below.

1. Start SmartPad PC and login to the Windows®

2. Close SmartNav program if it runs

3. If “Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog opens then close it.

4. Place SmartNav installation CD to the CD-rom drive (if SmartNav installation window opens then click exit)

5. Open Windows® explorer and browse to the x:\Drivers\Audio_driver\A376_WinAll folder

6. Double click Setup.exe icon to start the driver installer and wait a while

7. Click “Continue anyway” to the notification about Windows® logo testing.

8. When installation completes then select “Yes, I want to restart my computer now” and click “FINISH” button to restart SmartPad PC

Un-installation

Follow instructions below.

1. Start SmartPad PC and login to the Windows®

2. Close SmartNav program if it runs

3. Select “START => CONTROL PANEL => PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE => SYSTEM”.

4. Then select “HARDWARE tab and click “DEVICE MANAGER” button from the device manager.

5. Browse “Sound, video and game controllers” and expand it by selecting a “+” symbol on the left hand side of it

6. Right click “Realtek AC’97 Audio” and select “Un-install”

7. Click “OK”

8. Re-start SmartPad PC

Reinstallation

Updating the Audio driver requires the un-installation of exist driver first and then new installation is allowed. Follow the Un-installation and Installation sections above to do that.
